My first produced feature as a writer, BAD BLOOD, aired on Lifetime in 2015. It's success allowed me to set up RAVEN'S WATCH, which I ended up directing only a few months later. It's set for release in late 2016. It's the culmination of twenty years of countless drafts, notes, rejection letters and thousands of pages of dreaming. During that time, I've had the privilege of writing for some of my childhood idols, like Wes Craven and Wolfgang Petersen. I've worked with a variety of companies, including Artfire Films, Contra Films, Radiant Productions, Mar Vista, and most recently Plan B.
I like telling stories about ordinary people in extraordinary situations. Over the years I've worked with a variety of concept artists to generate images for my scripts. Below is some of their work.
In the summer of 2013, Mar Vista Entertainment pitched me a thriller about a woman accused of murder due to a strange quirk in DNA evidence gathering. Luckily, they liked my take and less than six months later I was working on a shooting draft for director Adam Silver. "Bad Blood" aired on Lifetime in 2015.
Based on the story, "The Man Inside" by Brad Gottfred, this psychological thriller delves into one man's struggle to find himself. He discovers more than he could ever have bargained for. Originally developed as a low budget feature, "Mortal" was close to production several times and ultimately ended up in development with Wes Craven. This script opened a lot of doors and I won't rest until it gets made.
This was a fun project that I developed with a company called ArtFire Films. It's a coming-of-age story that deals with the death of fantasy, but ultimately it was just an excuse to tell a story with pirates and some amazing imagery.
